Stadtwerke Potsdam GmbH, a municipal company with around 1,800 employees, is responsible for energy supply, public transport, urban waste disposal and many other services in Potsdam. With this wide range of tasks, reliable IT systems and data backups are indispensable. Stadtwerke Potsdam has been relying on SEP to back up its heterogeneous IT systems since 2011. The first step was to back up the Citrix virtualization environments. Since then, SAP systems and databases, as well as MS Exchange and the file systems have been added. Further virtualization by VMware is also backed up with SEP sesam.
