SEP sesam was specifically developed for backup, restore and disaster recovery processes for the client-/server-infrastructure. A large variety of file formats is supported, as well as backups of large databases and even single e-mails without disrupting the ongoing workflow. Version 3.6 supports Solaris, AIX, HP-UX but also Linux distributions by Novell/SUSE and Red Hat as well as Microsoft Windows. In addition to the modules for hot backups of databases SEP also offers many extensions for hot backups of groupware solutions like Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Groupwise, Open-Xchange, Scalix and Zarafa. SEP sesam is suitable for SAN, NAS, VMs like VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix XEN and all common networks.
SEP sesam is certified for backups of SAP R/3 applications for 64bit Unix operating systems by SAP - both in combination with Oracle 10g as well as with MaxDB as the database. Because of this SEP sesam offers is the backup solution with the most comprehensive support for SAP/R3 of all.
